Uses of garlic

Cooking

Consuming garlic will flush nasty toxins out of your body, promoting a healthy life.  Chopping and crushing the garlic releases the goodness inside.  Adding it to the dishes you prepare gives the meal a delicious flavor as well as the many health benefits mentioned above.  One of my favorite dishes to implement garlic in is angel hair with turkey meat sauce.

  • ground turkey
  • chopped garlic
  • sliced onions
  • red and green peppers
  • basil tomato sauce
  • parsley
  • oregano
  • angel hair pasta
  • extra virgin olive oil

Just the aroma that comes from sautéed garlic, onions and peppers alone are heavenly.  This meal is usually devoured within one night at my house.  HAHA!  Little do they know, that garlic is working on the inside performing all that healthy goodness!

Hair Care

I know it may sound strange and icky, but mixing crushed garlic with extra virgin olive oil and applying it to your scalp, is very beneficial for restoring the hair follicles for those experiencing hair loss.  Try it and see how it will change your hair.

Topically

Applying garlic to your skin has many anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory benefits.

  •  Slicing the garlic and applying on a pimple will eat that bacteria and dissipate that pimple in no time.
  • Using garlic oil (click below to get yours) on the skin will relieve psoriasis and other skin conditions.

Detoxing

Detoxing is important for healthy living.  Every so often you should detox, to rid your body from various toxins in the body that we accumulate through the air and food.  There are many supplements out there to help you detox, such as Red Tea Powerful Detox!  Another way you can detox is just by consuming this simple herb, garlic in a supplement form.  Check it out and let me know you think.

Note:  Not recommended for those who are on anticoagulants, as garlic has blood thinning actions.
